HERNDON, Va. -- Aug. 30, 2000 -- Logicon Inc., a Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) company, has received a five-year, $16 million subcontract from Raytheon Company to provide inventory management support services to the U.S. Navy's MK 48 Heavyweight Torpedo Intermediate Maintenance Activity.

Logicon will also provide supply support services, torpedo production management support, operation of the progressive depot level repair, and preventive and corrective maintenance on in-service support equipment and depot factory test equipment.
"This contract continues our long association with the Navy's heavyweight torpedo program and provides us with a stronger presence in the Pacific Rim to pursue additional services contracts in areas such as underwater weapons, underwater ranges and manned and unmanned vehicles," said Manuel Macedo, program manager, Logicon.
Work on the program will be performed at the Naval Magazine, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and the Naval Submarine Torpedo Facility, Yorktown, Va. Logicon's Naval Systems Operations organization has provided services in areas of inventory control, engineering services and documentation maintenance to the heavyweight torpedo program for 25 years.
