LOGICON TO PROVIDE IT SERVICES TO VOUGHT AIRCRAFT INDUSTRIES

HERNDON, Va. -- Sept. 14, 2000 -- Logicon Inc., a Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) company, will provide complete information technology (IT) services to Vought Aircraft Industries Inc. under an outsourcing agreement estimated at $67.5 million.

Services to be provided by Logicon to Vought under this wide-ranging agreement include support of all hardware, from desktops to mainframes; network services, including WAN's and LAN's; systems engineering support; application support; programming; consulting; disaster recovery; and help desk services.

The structure we have in place encourages IT goals well aligned with our business goals," said Bryan Tutor, IT director for Vought. "Vought is positioned for success and our IT systems will be a significant contributor to that success."
Vought Aircraft Industries Inc. was formerly the aerostructures business area of Northrop Grumman. The business was sold to The Carlyle Group, a private investment firm, earlier this year and renamed.
Logicon, headquartered in Herndon, provides IT services to all sectors of Northrop Grumman, as well as commercial enterprises and federal, state and local government agencies. It was selected by Vought to continue performing those services and ensure a smooth transition following the sale to Carlyle.
