WASHINGTON, D.C. – Apr. 24, 2006 – Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) will highlight a comprehensive suite of security products, systems and tools this week at the 2006 Government Security Expo and Conference (GOVSEC) Apr. 25-27 at the Washington, D.C. Convention Center.
Northrop Grumman’s exhibit is located at booth number 1902. At the booth, the company will showcase a variety of national security and homeland security/defense technologies, such as:
- Virtual Integrated Systems of Systems-Tool for Awareness Analysis and Assessment (VIS2TA). VIS2TA is a modeling and simulation system that can offer a complete suite of homeland security and defense planning, training, exercise and crisis-management/operations tools integrated around a geospatial visualization environment.

WebTAS features enhanced situation awareness capabilities that demonstrate how events can be tracked geospatially and temporally for better decision-making and control in environments such as disaster planning and response, command and control, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
- Security and traffic management solutions. Northrop Grumman’s vehicle-imaging technology includes an under-vehicle inspection system integrated with a license-plate reader, which provides safety and efficiency whenever vehicle inspection and identification are critical for operations.
- Commercial-off-the-shelf-based Homeland Security Presidential Directive-12 enrollment and registration system. This demonstration will show how and what needs to be collected from a personal identity verification card applicant including biometric information.
- Cyber Warfare Integration Network (CWIN) maritime homeland defense and security scenario. The CWIN is a synthetic modeling, simulation and systems analysis environment. This scenario will illustrate defense and security command-and-control collaboration that allows for risk management mitigation and realistic mission training opportunities. Additionally, a demonstration of the Advanced Information Architecture will exhibit a tool that allows for the rapid dissemination of unmanned aerial vehicle imagery.
- Mass Casualty Operations Trainer. A computer-based simulation tool used by first responders to analyze the effectiveness of response plans for managing a mass casualty event.
- TouchTable™ projection display. The TouchTable™ is set on a 45-inch touch-sensitive screen that allows users to view and manipulate complex data and high-resolution digital imagery, such as geographic information, that cannot readily be represented on a standard computer display.
- Remotec Andros Unmanned Ground Vehicle. Military, first responder and law enforcement agencies rely on these unmanned ground vehicles for safe, successful outcomes of their most challenging missions and hazardous-duty operations.
On Wed., Apr. 26 at 10:30 a.m., on the exhibit floor, Northrop Grumman’s Anthony Vellucci will present a technology showcase featuring the Advanced Security and Integrated Systems Technology (ASIST™) solution.
