Erik Nelson, Division Director, Enterprise Business Solutions
Erik Nelson is the director for the Enterprise Business Solutions division. Mr. Nelson has more than 16 years of progressively responsible leadership in the Human Capital Management (HCM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) domains for commercial companies and Federal, state and local governments. As division director, he leads development and enhancement of methodologies for rapid, multi-phased commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) enterprise application implementations and is responsible for identifying and evaluating new technologies and processes and facilitating technology transfer across Northrop Grumman programs. Mr. Nelson established an enterprise applications Center of Excellence (COE) that houses leading COTS business applications, emerging tools, and innovative supporting technologies and is responsible for directing some of the largest COTS enterprise application programs in government today. He is a recognized "thought leader" in the Federal COTS application market and regularly speaks at premier industry analyst and technology conferences throughout the year.
Mr. Nelson's work at Northrop Grumman also has included 12 years of direct support of Human Capital market customers, including the Department of Homeland Security, the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Department of Energy, the National Geospatial Agency, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the United Space Alliance, and others.
Mr. Nelson holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Decision Sciences from George Mason University.
