Kate Fortney, Director of Business Development

Kate Fortney has a wealth of business development and sales experience in national, commercial, and federal healthcare and information security business sectors. She was the Director of Business Development and Marketing for Gemplus Corporation for Public Sector Identity and Security. Previously, she was Vice President of Business Development for Aspen Systems Corporation and also served as Vice President of Federal Healthcare Sales for ACS Government Services. Prior to this, she was Vice President of Healthcare Sales & Marketing at SAIC. She has also held marketing and sales leadership and consulting roles in the telecommunications market.

In addition to key memberships and committee roles in healthcare, information security, and privacy/identity groups, Ms. Fortney is also a Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) National Capital Region board member. She holds a B.A. degree in English from William Jewell College in Kansas City, MO, an MBA from Rochurst College in Kansas City, MO, and has completed executive educational programs with Stanford University, Wharton School of Business, and Georgetown University.
