George Peach Taylor, Jr., M.D., M.P.H.George Peach Taylor, Jr., M.D., M.P.H., is vice president of Northrop Grumman's Health & Human Services unit. In this role, Dr. Taylor oversees Northrop Grumman's overall health business, a strategic and rapidly growing segment of the Northrop Grumman portfolio.

Dr. Taylor's strengths in strategic planning, transformation, financial management, organizational excellence, military and disaster response, and medical innovation will enable Health & Human Services to build on its standing as a recognized leader in health IT, spanning major components of the health industry, including clinical systems, life sciences, public health, and healthcare financing and benefits management. With extensive expertise in these areas, this unit provides mission-critical enterprisewide health applications, interoperable architecture, and large-scale systems integration and engineering to leading health organizations.

Dr. Taylor retired from the U.S. Air Force Medical Corps at the rank of lieutenant general. He has more than 28 years of experience in worldwide medical practice, supervision, staff work, command and consulting services. He led the Air Force Medical Service, one of the world's most complex healthcare systems for an extremely diverse global population, culminating in his selection as surgeon general of the U.S. Air Force. His credentials further include consulting expertise as the senior federal medical officer for a "top four" consulting practice, a track record of innovative healthcare system development, outstanding program and financial management, and clinical excellence. Dr. Taylor's accomplishments include: developing medical recommendations for the 2005 Department of Defense Base Realignment and Closure Commission; co-leading the medical portion of the 2006 Quadrennial Defense Review calling for major changes for the Military Health System; overseeing worldwide healthcare activities comprising more than 1.2 million enrollees; and leading a $6+ billion Air Force global healthcare system.

Dr. Taylor comes to Northrop Grumman from the Washington Federal Practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, where he was a senior managing director following his 2006 retirement as surgeon general of the U.S. Air Force.

He is board certified in aerospace medicine and holds an unrestricted medical license in Texas. He is a Fellow of the Aerospace Medical Association and American College of Preventive Medicine. He received his bachelor's degree in physics and Russian language from Rice University and his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. He received his master of public health degree from the Harvard School of Public Health and completed his residency with the U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine. He is also a graduate of the National War College.
